I have always been interested in both cookery and art and have been designing and decorating cakes for several years for family and friends.

Having gained art, domestic science and secretarial qualifications at College, I worked for several years as Personnel and Training Manager at the prestigious Chewton Glen Hotel in New Milton, where I was in charge of employing staff to maintain the Hotel”s high standards of cuisine and service.

When I left to start a family, I found the demand for my cake-making services grew, and in 2002, I decided to turn what had previously been just a hobby into a business, and Cakes for Every Occasion was formed.

Since then, things have gone from strength to strength, and I now run a successful business from my own home, offering a personal service to the customer”s own specification, and catering for cakes of all shapes and sizes, for every conceivable occasion and celebration.

I have a collection of albums, and a databank featuring every cake I have made, books and several wedding cake magazines, which may help you to decide on a suitable design, or I can draw and design something especially for you if you have unorthodox ideas of your own!

I am also delighted to confirm my latest news, that in July 2011 I qualified as a teacher in the Further Education sector, and will be continuing my Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Sugarcraft courses, and wired flowers hobby courses at Bournemouth College.
