Information

An Eco-architectural practice based in Ellesmere, Shropshire

Greenspace Architects Ltd is an eco-architectural practice, with extensive experience of producing high quality, low energy and carefully crafted architecture underpinned by sustainable design principles.

Quite simply, we create fantastic places, spaces and buildings that exceed the aspirations of our clients.

Greenspace Architects Ltd was established by architects Kevin Slack and the late Robert Netherwood, who ran a practice in the town in partnership with his wife Anne since 1984. Anne Netherwood is a consultant to the practice.

Kevin – both a chartered architect and a qualified interior designer – has concentrated on small and large-scale new build projects focused on residential, education, hotel & leisure developments and urban regeneration schemes, including the sports hall at Glyndŵr University, Wrexham, the interiors at the Ramada Plaza Hotel also in Wrexham and a large residential scheme at Masshouse in Birmingham’s Eastside regeneration area. He strives to make sustainability a part of the everyday, rather than an add-on, and has achieved BREEAM Excellent and EcoHomes ratings on a number of projects.

Central to our philosophy is the desire that all projects undertaken by Greenspace Architects Ltd – whether small alterations and extensions to a house or a large commercial development – will be sustainable in the widest sense and aim to increase the energy efficiency – and therefore reduce energy bills and carbon emissions – of existing buildings or create highly efficient ecofriendly new buildings, whilst in all cases improving the look and feel of a building or place.

We currently operate with a team of five but joint venture arrangements with other architectural practices offer the potential for us to service projects of virtually any size across the Marches region, Cheshire, Mid- and North Wales, as well as further afield.
