This family run company was formed in 1965 by Vic Crompton and now has a wealth of experience with certificates from HETAS, ROSPA, BAXI, NACS FUMES & APPLIANCE TESTING.
We also have sweeps who have undertaken the Gas Safe Registration enabling us to remove and replace gas fires before and after sweeping. This is helpful for customers who want just one person to do the job from start to finish.
We have been on the approval list for Wigan Metro Borough Council for over 30 years and also have a good working relationship with other Councils such as Blackpool Coastal Housing and Lancashire County Council. We also work for builders, hotels and commercial – the list goes on!
We have recently been assessed as CHAS compliant within the Health and Safety side of the business.
Being a founder member of the National Association of Chimney Sweeps and recommended by the NACS and HETAS, we offer an extremely high quality service to both private and commercial clients, which we believe is second to none.
Chimneys should only be swept by professional sweeps as there are many specific requirements needed for different types of appliances i.e. making sure that enough ventilation is coming into the room before gas fires or solid fuel fires are fitted.
Chimneys must be swept regularly to ensure the following problems do not occur, i.e. spiders webs, birds nests, deterioration of midfeathers, ensuring the gases escape correctly, etc.
