Four Star Grant House and Three Star Grant Cottage offer luxurious, comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation in the traditional village of Tomintoul. Whether its ski-ing, malt whisky, walking, wildlife or outoor pursuits, this is the ideal base for your highland holiday. Tomintoul is the highest village within the scenic Cairngorms National park; within easy reach are the Lecht Ski Centre, the Malt Whisky Trail, Balmoral and other historic castles, the popular resorts of Aviemore and Braemar, golfing at nearby Ballindalloch, bird-watching in the wildlife-rich countryside and the Tomintoul Highland Games in July.

Both properties have been recently renovated to a high standard, and combine traditional appearance with modern interiors. The properties are located just off a quiet main street in Tomintoul, have off-street parking and access to a pretty, secluded garden, as well as lockable external shed for outdoor equipment. The properties are suitable to be booked together to accommodate larger parties of families or friends.

The surrounding areas of Glenlivet and Strathavon are filled with stunning scenery, and wildlife is abundant. An extensive network of marked trails allows walkers of all levels to explore and appreciate this unspoilt countryside. The Whisky Smuggler’s trail may be of particular interest! Shooting, fishing, golf and horse-riding are all available nearby, with the Lecht Ski centre (a 10 minute drive) offering a range of summer and winter activities. There are numerous distilleries within easy reach, and various historic buildings ranging from spectacular Castles at Ballindalloch and Balmoral to Scalan College, refuge of the Heather Priests. The coast line to the north, along the Moray Firth, is similarly beautiful.

Come and discover an area which people fall in love with, explore its unspoilt country and drink in its amazing history for yourself – you’ll see why our visitors keep coming back.
