Information

Situated in the beautiful historic village of Henley in Arden and named Envy, the new salon was opened on 2nd November 1999 by business partners Rikki Graham and Vicky Strain.

Rikki and Vicky had worked together for many years in a leading salon group in Stratford upon Avon. Wanting to express their strong artistic natures they would spend most of their free time studying and trying new and classic hairdressing techniques. Embracing the challenge of expressing the latest fashion ideas through innovative and exciting hair styling.

The knowledge and skills they gained have resulted in:

  • Busy clientele nominations for the L’Oreal colour trophy
  • Nominations for Midlands hairdresser

  • Appearances at the Cosmopolitan show Earls court

  • Ambassador to the fledging company TIGI appearing on stage with Toni and Guy at Salon international.

After a brief break the duo reunited taking all they had learned and experienced to start their own salon. As well as providing excellent high standards of hair styling they set out to inspire a young up and coming generation with their knowledge, experience and love of the industry.

Immediately Envy was a great success, in 2002 Envy moved to 116 High Street Henley in Arden creating a salon 5 times the size of the original.

Over the next few years as success continued, the number of staff increased and lessons were learned about running a business. In 2005 Vicky left to follow a career with L’Oreal, which is why the “Y” was dropped and ENV Salon carried on.

Since 2005 ENV Salon has been 5 times L’Oreal colour trophy finalists, in the Redken style award four star. Good salon guide said ‘has introduced a formal standard of education for all staff is constantly investing in education and young motivated people’

ENV salon has continued to grow and develop turning out hairstylists with great creative ability and potential.
