The Doorworld was established in 1996 in Glasgow – a great place to start a business if you want some honest feedback.

Back then the range of doors available was pretty limited and if it could be slammed without falling apart and kept out gale force winds then it would do. Times have changed though, and a door is now seen as an important part of the house and one that can make a unique statement.

Doors are an investment and good ones, like ours, will be with you a very long time. They add value to a home and can freshen the appearance of a property.

We have fitted doors in and around the Glasgow area for many years and the vast majority of our work now comes from referrals. This in itself is a great endorsement of a family run business which truly believes our customers come first.

We realised about 5 years ago that there was a gap in the market for non-standard size doors, particularly non-standard internal doors. And we also noticed that whilst people were delighted once they had chosen their door, and agreed for us to fit it there was just the “small” matter of treating said door – of course most husbands,Dads and boyfriends were really excited about this prospect and never mumbled or groaned at all – but we thought we would help them out anyway – cue our Internal PVC doors.

A made to measure, maintenance free door that has the authentic woodgrain appearance without all the hassle. Non standard sizes, both metric and imperial that don’t fade, don’t discolour and don’t need painted – ever! You can see our full selection at internal upvc doors – we have added many doors to the original line up, and are constantly creating new bespoke versions for our customers -you tell us the design, the colour, the lead work you want and we will make the door. If we think it looks nice we may even name it after you and sell it on-line! (sorry no royalties)These doors are the finished article and we now sell more of these internal doors than any other.

Our traditional pine doors (Tenement doors as we call them in Glasgow) are another big seller. We source the best doors for our customers and these doors come all the way from Brazil. Slightly knotted A-grade kiln dried pine, these doors are 84 inches high and come in a variety of widths. We now get many calls from customers in England looking for these doors which are ideal for traditional properties – there are only a few companies on-line who sell them.

We keep our costs low and know that many of our doors are the cheapest on the web. We don’t hide charges like VAT and Delivery – these are always included in the price so The Price You See Is The Price You Pay!

There are some doors that you just won’t find on any other website and we are always happy to facilitate your creative ideas if you want to design your own. Furthermore we are always keen to hear about doors that you may have seen on other websites and think should be featured on ours.
