Information

My name is Peter George Huntley, and I have been a Monumental Mason for over 30 years, living locally in Newport Road, Newbury, Berkshire.

Leaving Park House school in 1976, Peter started a five year apprenticeship to be a Monumental Mason at Alan G. Wright working there for 28 years, and was very sorry to see it close in 2006. Alan G. Wright was the local Monumental Mason at Shaw Hill next to main Newbury Shaw cemetery.

Peter then went on to start his own business, P. G. H. Memorials in 2006, providing all of his 30+ years experience in monumental masonry along with great service. If you require some help in selecting an appropriate new memorial or a cremation tablet, Peter would gladly provide advice with a visit to a churchyard or cemetery as well as a visit in the comfort of your own home. Peter also does renovation work, 2nd inscriptions, cleaning and levelling memorials.
